A cross between a tent and a chalet, this unusual accommodation offers the chance to sleep comfortably under canvas on the upper level and spend time in a wooden cabin on the ground floor during the day, with all the convenience of a pretty lounge and a well-equipped kitchen. The Cahuttes are located in the lower part of the Village, up from the Central Lodge. From their decks, you get an excellent view of the surrounding natural scenery.

VILLAGE TORONTO CHALET

This modern chalet offers families and groups of friends a comfortable stay in the Rhône Valley at any time of year. Archery, outdoor yoga, Little Trappers, teen evenings, cooking workshops… There are activities and evening events for all the family, centred on nature, wellness and connecting with others. They’re held every day during the school holidays and every weekend for the rest of the year.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY PROGRAMME

Little Trappers (ages 5-12)

A programme of exclusive activities, run by our activity leaders and designed to nurture your kids’ adventurous side.

They can produce temporary artworks in the Land Art activity, cultivate their Robinson Crusoe side in the cabin construction workshop, push their limits trying out tree climbing and much more.

Every day during the summer holidays and 6 days a week during the spring and autumn holidays. The rest of the year, at weekends.

SWIM IN ALL SEASONS

Relaxation is guaranteed at Huttopia Pays de Condrieu Village!
The choice is yours between a dip in the outdoor pool and a few lengths in the heated pool.

THE SWIMMING POOLS

You’ll find two swimming pools at Huttopia Pays de Condrieu Village, one of which is covered and heated so you can enjoy a swim at any time of year.

Deckchairs and parasols are provided on the decking around the swimming area. The Central Lodge and Café-Restaurant are close by, in case you fancy a delicious ice cream between dips!

THE PADDLING POOL

We’ve designed our swimming area so that the whole family can enjoy it, including the little ones!

Thanks to our paddling pool, children can have fun and cool off in complete safety while parents relax on a deckchair or in the pool.

THE CAFÉ-RESTAURANT
Simple dishes prepared with fresh produce, served every weekend and during the school holidays.

The Rhône Valley, an area rich in wines, history and gastronomy

Located south of Lyon, where the Loire and Isère rivers meet the Plateau Ardèchois, the Pays de Condrieu is a land of gastronomy, known for its local specialities. As well as its world-renowned wines, discover the flavours of the Monts du Pilat and the treasures grown in the surrounding area.

Here, the landscape is a mix of plains planted with fruits and vegetables, orchards and terraced vineyards. Lovers of wide open spaces will enjoy the diverse landscapes and remarkable views in the Pilat Regional Natural Park, which you can explore using the many hiking trails. Just a few kilometres away lies Vienne, the former capital of Roman Gaul, where you can see remains of this ancient civilisation dating back more than 2,500 years.

After admiring their vineyards as you approach the campsite, you’ll love meeting passionate local winegrowers, who’ll share with you their love for the land and their vast knowledge. And you won’t want to pass up the chance to taste a Côte-Rôtie (red) or a Condrieu (white).

Île du Beurre

This Nature Observation Centre is a protected natural area that’s home to many different species (herons, beavers, kingfishers, dragonflies, etc.). Accompanied by a guide, discover the natural wonders of the banks of the Rhône on a family-friendly outing where you’ll learn about the conservation of natural environments.

Vienne and its ancient heritage

14 km

Awarded the status of ‘Town of Art and History’, this former ancient city boasts remarkable Gallo-Roman and medieval heritage and is located just 20 minutes away from the Village.
The must-sees: the ancient theatre, Saint Maurice Cathedral, Saint-André-le-Bas Cloister and the Temple of Augustus and Livia.

Saint-Romain-en-Gal Gallo-Roman museum

Once a district of the ancient city of Vienna, this archaeological site reveals over 2,000 years of history. It contains the remains of many homes, businesses and baths from the Roman era. The museum houses a large collection of mosaics and many activities are held there throughout the year.

Vienne market

12 km

On Saturdays, head to the second largest market in France to discover all the region’s specialities and meet fruit and vegetable growers, cheesemakers, charcutiers and other local producers. Specialities not to be missed: Burlat cherries, Williams pears, Rigotte de Condrieu cheese and Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu wines.

Confiture Bruneton

10 km

Sample the creations of the best jam maker in France! Philippe Bruneton showcases the local terroir by selecting the region’s best fruits to go into his world-renowned jams. His blackcurrants come from Isère, his white peaches from the Coteau du Jarret, his redcurrants from the Monts du Lyonnais, his pears from Pilat, etc.

Charterhouse of Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez

This fortress-like former monastery, inhabited until 1794, has been transformed into a small village of many treasures: murals, choir stalls, fortified façades… The ideal place to taste the famous Chartreuse liqueur made from over 130 different plants.

Crêt de l’Oeillon

At an altitude of 1,370m, this crest provides a glorious view of the mountains, from Mont Blanc to the Trois Becs. You can continue the experience by following the Sentier des Crêts trail to the highest point in the Pilat massif: Crêt de la Perdrix.

Mont Monnet

Enjoy a remarkable view of the Rhône and Gier valleys from 700m up. You’ll also find a small chapel here with a statue of the Virgin Mary.

There are various trails for you to choose from depending on what you’re looking for! The Milan Noir trail (7.5km) is an excellent choice for families, and even offers a panoramic view into the bargain. More athletic types can take on the challenge of the 18km Sentier de la Gerbolle, with 470m elevation gain. Many other routes will take you through the vines.

Bike rides on the Via Rhôna

If you’re a cycle tourer wanting to get to the Mediterranean or Lake Geneva, or just fancy a bike ride along the river Rhône, pedal along this long-distance cycle route alternating between greenways and quiet roads as you admire the varied landscapes along the edge of the river: plains, orchards, vineyards…

Condrieu outdoor activity centre

As well as the large choice of water-based activities here, including tubing, cable tows and paddleboarding, there’s a lifeguarded beach and a floating inflatable playground in the summer. The perfect place to cool off when the sun is beating down.
