TWO TOILET AND SHOWER AREAS

Two recently renovated toilet blocks are available at the campsite for your use. There are free hot showers, sinks, and toilets in cubicles.

At Huttopia, we make it a priority to offer you clean and comfortable toilet and shower facilities. Ours have plenty of light, facilities for babies and disabled guests and sometimes heating, making a real difference to the success of your holiday.

Orienteering trails

Two orienteering trails offer a fun way to explore the village of Champagny-en-Vanoise that anyone can enjoy. When you get to the end of the route, go to the tourist office to collect your surprise.

Plan du Bouc via ferrata

2 km

Try out via ferrata, or ‘vertical hiking’! A fun way to see the region from above.
The trail lasts around an hour and is suitable for people of all ability levels, even kids if they’re athletic.

WALKS NEAR THE CAMPSITE

Sitting 1,450m above sea level, Huttopia Vanoise Campsite: Champagny Sector is ideally located for passionate hiking enthusiasts. There are plenty of signposted trails to enjoy, some of which even start at the campsite.

Vélière Lake

4 km

Starting at the campsite, this route takes you onto the south slope of Champagny valley. You’ll cross through Alpine pastures that are occupied by herds of livestock in the summer.

Length: 4 hours 45 – 6 miles and 977m elevation gain

Gordzderés Walk

Suitable for all and ideal for families with young children, this trail has interpretation panels to read at points along your walk.

Length: 1 hour 30 – 1.5 miles

Bozelet Chapel

This long walk, starting at the Champagny gondola lift, takes you through forest and meadows to Bozelet chapel, where you get a beautiful view of the ski slopes and the Vanoise glaciers.

Length: 5 hours 45

Gordzderés Walk

Suitable for all and ideal for families with young children, this trail has interpretation panels to read at points along your walk.

The Tarentaise Vanoise

Located on the border with Italy, the Tarentaise Vanoise is a vast land of unspoilt nature and rural heritage, surrounded by some of the highest and most beautiful peaks in Savoie. Popular in winter for its renowned ski resorts, the Vanoise is an equally good place to visit in the summer. There’s no shortage of things to do, whether it’s hiking, visiting traditional villages or sampling Beaufort cheese and crozets pasta.

Huttopia Vanoise Campsite: Champagny Sector is located just outside the Vanoise National Park. This protected natural site is a vast paradise of glaciers, meadows and mountain streams – the perfect place to enjoy the pure mountain air as you roam the 250 miles of signposted trails.
