Huttopia De Roos campsite invites you to stay in the province of Overijssel, in the heart of an exceptional natural environment. Camp in the midst of a unique undulating landscape in the Netherlands, beside the river Overijsselse Vecht. Admire the dunes dotted with typical local trees: sloes, hawthorns and old oaks. A charming campsite with a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Sleep in this beautiful atypical tent with its wood stove and real bathroom with shower and toilet! In terms of design, the Trappeur tent combines canvas and wood while offering maximum space. In accordance with the latest government and RIVM (Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) regulations, the Huttopia de Roos Campsite is open for bookings in accommodations, tents, motor homes and caravans, and our communal sanitary facilities will reopen from 15 June.

For peaceful holidays offering the chance to truly disconnect, and for everyone’s safety, the Huttopia de Roos camp site is vehicle-free (from 20/05 to 24/05, from 29/05 to 01/06 and from 04/07 to 31/08.)

Fresh bread every morning

Wild swimming in the river Overijsselse Vecht… what more could you dream of?
In the summertime, head down to the beautiful sandy beach, where parents can relax while younger kids paddle about safely in the children’s area (max depth: 60 cm). Three pontoons also allow older kids to dive directly into the river to splash about.

This summer, the Huttopia Campsites are offering a whole range of outdoor nature activities, in careful compliance with current health regulations.

In the afternoons, some fabulous nature activities await you, to enjoy as a family, solo, with your partner, or with friends.
In the evenings, come and enjoy some sociable and captivating evening entertainment.

Ommen and its region
Huttopia De Roos campsite is located in the centre of the region of Vechtdal, in the province of Overijssel. Discover one of the most beautiful regions in the Netherlands. Quaint villages and stunning natural areas are found one after the next along the Vecht river.
Ommen : is a town boasting unique natural landscapes. Stroll through the pedestrian area, and discover the many shops and restaurants. There are also lots of different water activities for you to enjoy throughout the summer. Why not go on a pretty boat trip to discover the region.
Beerze : With its low thatched cottages (also known as Saxon farms), this village is typical of the rural architecture of the Salland region.
Giethoorn (60 km) : A picturesque village known as the “Venice of the North”, Giethoorn is famous for its cottages with their thatched roofs dating back to the seventeenth century and its colourful flowerbeds. Stroll through the village’s little lanes or explore its many canals by boat.
Sports & With children
Keen walkers are in for a treat with the many different footpaths around the campsite offering breathtaking scenery. Huttopia De Roos campsite is also an ideal departure point for runners, cyclists and swimmers looking to enjoy the clear water of the river Overijsselse Vecht.
Kabouterland: In the heart of the village of Exloo, spend a wonderful day with the family discovering the region’s mystical animals; gnomes, trolls, and games of all kinds!
Kruidenhoeve: go on a botanical outing and discover the woodland gardens, vegetable gardens, aromatic herbs, adventure trails and animals (bees, butterflies, donkeys…).
