With slides, a suspension bridge, and wooden structures, this space invites young explorers to climb, slide, and play safely. Ideally located near the central lodge, the playground lets parents relax while keeping an eye on their children.

Paddling Pool

When it’s time to cool off, head to the paddling pool! This shallow, secure pool lets little ones enjoy the water in complete safety, under the watchful eyes of their parents.

LITTLE TRAPPERS IN SUMMER (AGES 5–12)

In summer, six days a week, children aged 5 to 12 become real Little Trappers! The program includes fun activities in the great outdoors—treasure hunts, hut building, Land’Art, and more. The youngest can also enjoy a Mini Trapper pack, available for self-service, with adventure and board games.

Huttopia Forêt des Vosges boasts an unspoilt site, located at 650 m altitude in the heart of the Vosges Mountains in the Lorraine.

 

This historic region, on the border with Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany offers diverse landscapes, including mountain rivers and waterfalls, fir forests as far as the eye can see, and breathtaking panoramas over large, high-altitude lakes. The Vosges have a Canadian feel about them and are a paradise for lovers of nature and outdoor sports.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN THE AREA

The town of Gerardmer

10 km

Nicknamed the “Pearl of the Vosges”, this tourist town in the Vosges is known for its winter sports, its lake (the largest glacier-formed lake and largest natural lake in the French département), and the wide range of activities available at its water sports centre, including kayaking, pedaloeing, fishing, sailing, swimming, and paddle boarding. With more than 3,000 hectares of nature, composed mainly of fir trees and conifers, Gérardmer offers a stunning landscape of lakes, mountains and forests!

High-altitude lakes and waterfalls

10 km to 40 km

Make the most of your stay to explore and admire the landscapes of the Vallée des Lacs. This includes Lake Gérardmer of course, but also Lake Longemer, Lake Blanc, Lake Des Corbeaux, and Lake Lispach, as well as the many magical waterfalls which look like they’ve come straight out of a fairy tale, such as Charlemagne, La Mérelle, Tendon, and the Saut du Bouchot. Set out to contemplate and explore these magnificent landscapes during your holidays at Huttopia Forêt des Vosges.

The Ridges Route

32 km

The 77-km-long Ridges Route, takes you over the summits of Hohneck, Col de la Schlucht and the legendary Grand Ballon: the highest peak in the Vosges mountains, at 1343 m altitude. This beautiful route in the middle of the wilderness allows you to admire the most iconic landscapes of the Vosges, with its mountain passes, summits, lakes and prairies, and offers unforgettable breathtaking panoramas.

The town of Epinal

38 km

Crossed by the Moselle river, the town of Epinal is the capital of the Vosges. Take a walk through the gardens of Château d’Epinal, and climb up the castle ruins to admire the views of the town and the surrounding forests. A trip to Epinal is also the ideal opportunity to visit the Imagerie d’Epinal prints and carvings museum and the Museum of Ancient and Modern Art, which houses a collection of more than 110,000 popular images: a fine tribute to French artists.

Local produce and gastronomy

The region is known for its cheese-making tradition with its famous Munster and Bargkass cheeses, as well as its fruit wines, brandies, fir honey, Lorraine Mirabelle plums, and blueberry specialities… In the farm-inns, at the markets stalls, and on restaurant menus, local products abound. Another iconic speciality: the delicious Vosge sweets made from essential oils such as fir, eucalyptus, liquorice, lemon, and bergamot… Take a tour of the Confiserie Des Hautes Vosges to discover the secrets of how they are made.

The Thillot copper mines

46 km

Located in the Upper Moselle Valley, this copper ore mining site is listed as a historical monument. Operated by the Dukes of Lorraine from the 16th to the 18th century, the Hautes-Mynes are now open to the public. Go on a fun visit as a family, making your way through a series of underground galleries to experience a spectacular adventure in the depths of the mines! During the school holidays, a guide will tell children the tales and legends of the mines…

Plombières-les-Bains

In Antiquity, the ground waters of the Vosges were used by the Romans for their many therapeutic properties. Today, wellness establishments offer visitors the chance to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of these springs, such as in Vittel or Contrexéville. To the southwest of Huttopia Forêt des Vosges, after Remiremont, you can visit the Plombières-les-Bains spa resort with its Empire-style architecture and the Calodaé thermal baths.

Diverse protected sites

In the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Park, there are many protected sites you can visit not far from the campsite, which are home to rare animal and plant species. Among them are the Grand Etang peat bog in Gérardmer and the St-Jacques stream in Xonrupt-Longemer, which creates a remarkable delta as it flows into Lake Longemer…

Textile production has been part of the history of the Vosges region for more than a century. Created by the Vosges Terre Textile© label, the Textile Route is the ideal way to discover the local textile industry, with its 280 km marked tourist route. With 4 different itineraries, you can discover many different sites of interest, including workshops for embroidery, tailoring, spinning, finishings, screen printing and weaving…

The Vosges, with its vast, unspoiled landscapes of mountains, lakes and waterfalls, is an ideal region for enjoying outdoor sports. With hikes, via ferrata, rock climbing, and mountain biking among others, the possibilities are endless! At the campsite, a pretty lake hidden among the fir trees is ideal for fishing (non-swimmable lake).
