ENDLESS SNOW ACTIVITIES FOR FAMILIES

What can you do in the surrounding ski resorts with children (and grown ups)?
Here are some ideas, all within a 20km radius of the Huttopia Vallouise Chalets.

Pelvoo Igloo Village

Every winter brings the opportunity to discover a magical, enchanted world made of snow and ice. In addition to a giant igloo, many ice and snow structures wait to be explored, as do 360° surround film screenings.

AND WHAT CAN YOU DO IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

You can, of course, also soak up the warmth of the wood stove in your chalet, while reading a book or playing some boardgames. For the inquisitive, several off-the-beaten-track spots are well worth the visit. The Vallouise Maison du Parc des Écrins offers insight into this protected National Park, its heritage, flora and fauna.

Rather into relaxation? The great baths of Monêtier (30km away) offer a vast spa area with naturally hot waters. On Sundays, a “children’s special” is also arranged!

Finally, it also provides the opportunity to access the Citadel of Briançon (30mins from the Huttopia Vallouise Chalets). Lying at an altitude of 1,326m, it is the highest town in France. The UNESCO-listed fortifications, the old town and collegiate church are remarkable and well worth a visit on days you’ve chosen to forego skiing.
