A little break as a family, not for too long or too far away, is something we could all do with once in a while. Huttopia’s Nature Campsites and Forest Villages are perfect for this type of break, whatever the season.
WHAT TO PACK FOR A SHORT BREAK WITH CHILDREN?
There’s one simple rule: travel light! There’s no need to pack up the whole of the children’s bedrooms to go away for one or two nights. Huttopia sites all have ready-to-camp accommodation with all the essentials for a weekend as a family with complete comfort guaranteed: separate bedrooms (a must with older children), a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and even a kitchen with everything you need to prepare food for all the family. And always direct access to the great outdoors!
Our campsites are also designed to host all the members of your family, even the youngest children. You’ll find a changing table in the toilet block and cots and highchairs are available at all our sites.
A holiday at a Huttopia campsite or village is also a chance to try out original accommodation and enjoy wide open spaces… Much to the delight of the kids!
OUR IDEAS FOR ACTIVITIES TO DO AS A FAMILY
At our campsites, you spend your holiday together, with the children and away from screens! There’s no TV or Wi-Fi in our accommodation, but instead there are lots of opportunities for family fun over a game of table football, table tennis or one of the board games available at the Central Lodge, for example.
For sporty families
You’ll find walking routes suitable for children near your accommodation. Huttopia also has road bikes, mountain bikes and electric bikes for hire for all ages, with baby seats, double trailers and the appropriate helmets… Perfect for a little family adventure on your holiday!
For curious families
Our Nature Campsites and Forest Villages are located in the most beautiful regions of France. Naturally, visiting cultural sites, tasting local produce and exploring the surrounding natural environment will also be on the agenda for your family weekend away… And our staff will be happy to recommend the most kid-friendly places in the area.
For families looking for relaxation
It’s also good to take some time on holiday to just lounge by the pool, read a book on the campsite’s large deck or enjoy a wellness experience at the forest spa. If you’re looking for relaxation, the peaceful natural environments surrounding our accommodation are just the ticket!

Thankfully, the Huttopia campsites and villages spread out all over France offer a variety of locations surrounded by nature, easy to get to from the major French cities. Once you’re there, you can enjoy the pool as a family or the spa as a couple, as well as all our outdoor activities.
