Fishing workshop

Stéphane takes you to discover the animal and plant life along the river during a fishing trip for beginners. For kids and grown-ups, whether wading in the Loue or aboard a boat, his lessons and expertise will enchant both nature lovers and those keen to learn more.

A moment of pure relaxation awaits thanks to Lina and her ancestral well-being massages. Make way for relaxation amongst the hazel wood, with the gentle lapping of the Loue river and bird song as accompaniment. HIKING IN THE JURA

Set your compass for the Haut Jura National Park with a hike to explore the most beautiful mountain paths in the region. Between mountains, large lakes and waterfalls, the Jura serves up a number of surprises.

CANOE DESCENT

Have you ever dreamt of a canoe ride during your holidays? The Val’Nature leisure centre is located at the entrance to the campsite. You can rent canoes and kayaks for a magical ride on the water.

DISCOVER THE LOCAL PRODUCE

Taste the wonderful specialities on offer in the Jura during your stay. Visit the famous Comté fruit farms and some of the finest Jura wine cellars.

ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN BIKES

Head off to explore everything the Jura and Val d’Amour have to offer on our bikes and electric mountain bikes all available for rental from the campsite. In the mud, on the sand or a steep climb, you’ll be unstoppable! Departing from the Huttopia La Plage Blanche Campsite, there is no shortage of paths to set off and discover the surroundings… For trips with the family, children’s bikes are also available to rent on site.

A calm and shallow river, the Loue is ideal for trying out fishing or playing on the banks. Please note that swimming in the river is restricted and even prohibited in parts. For more info, ask at reception during your holiday.

SUMMER LITTLE TRAPPERS

Each morning in summer (6 days a week) at Huttopia La Plage Blanche, the 5-12 year olds become Little Trappers as they enjoy fun activities always held out in the heart nature: treasure hunts, wooden hut building, Land’Art, and more!

Nothing could be better than a rainy day to relax and unwind at our communal centre where you will find books, board games and, of course, couches.

Prefer to head off and visit the region? There are a host of places, warm and dry, which are worth a visit whatever the weather.
Head off to Saline Royale d’Arc-et-Senans and its Salt museum: a must-visit in the region and a UNESCO world heritage site.

And once the day comes to an end, relax and enjoy a gourmet break in the famous Comté fruit farms or regional farms to meet local producers. A visit full of authenticity and flavour!

The treasures of the Val d’Amour and Jura

The Jura: exceptional nature and heritage combined

Located not far from Dole, the Huttopia La Plage Blanche Campsite is the ideal starting point to set off an discover everything the Jura and Val d’Amour have to offer.

Here, nature is simply stunning and the landscapes serve up all of their splendour thanks to the mountains, large lakes, waterfalls, forests and countryside.
From west to east, the variety of landscape and surroundings is quite unique. A journey through time which will also allow you to discover some of the authentic villages and traditional food of the region. There are a thousand and one ways to enjoy the Jura!

Le Mont Poupet

28 km

Standing proud with an altitude of over 800 metres, le Mont Poupet is a perfect location for outdoor activities and thrills and spills. In sumptuous natural surroundings, you can enjoy hand gliding, delta plane, hiking, mountain biking, and trail circuits. From a handful of observation points, the view is simply stunning over the Jura mountains and goes as far as the Alps and the Mont-Blanc when the weather is clear.

The Haut Jura National Park

50 km

The Haut Jura National Park is home to stunning landscapes where nature is all around. With its mountain decor, the vantage points are magnificent and alternate between large lakes, hills, forests and waterfalls. A land full of contrast where animal and plant life are protected. Standing at an altitude of 1,600 metres, the Jura mountains are an ideal place for hikers. Amongst the best hikes in the region, the Pic de l’Aigle offers a panoramic view of four superb lakes, simply unforgettable!

Saline Royale d'Arc-et-Senans

14 km

Listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, this Salt production site dating as far bask as the 18th Century is home to unique architecture. Previously used for salt production, it is today an emblematic site in the region. Through its museum and exhibits, you can learn everything about the history of salt production as well as the architect Claude-Nicolas Ledoux.

Dole

21 km

Surrounded by the Doubs River, the historic town of Dole has lost nothing of its picturesque charm. As a recognised town of art and history, and the birthplace of Louis Pasteur, you will enjoy a quiet stroll through its small cobbled streets admiring the beauty of its architecture. Recognised for its wide variety of heritage, Dole is also renowned for its fine food and wonderful restaurants. A truly wonderful gourmet experience!

Salins-les-Bains

22 km

Salin-les-Bains is an authentic traditional village and a must-visit. Between its two forts which protect the village, its fortresses, Notre-Dame chapel and Grande Saline salt production site (a UNESCO world heritage site), the visit is rich in flavours and emotions. Salin-les-Bains is also renowned for its thermal springs offering a guarantee of relaxation in its naturally salt-rich waters.

Must-visit villages

Classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France, Baume-Les-Messieurs (40 km) is a real jewel in the crown! The village and its incredible abbey are nestled in the middle of caves and fascinating waterfalls which are well worth the visit. Just a few kilometres away, Château-Chalon (40 km) is also a must-visit. Sitting on the limestone cliffs, this picturesque village overlooks the sun-drenched hills of the Seille Valley and the renowned Jura vineyards.
And a little closer to the campsite, your can visit the 14th Century Barrauques and admire the ancient houses amongst which you will be able to visit the oldest house in the Franche-Comté.

Produce and Comté from the Jura

As a land of gourmet traditions, the Jura is above all renowned for its local produce and, in particular, the famous Comté cheese. To find out all you need to know about the first cheese in France to be awarded the AOC (Classified Origin Label), visit the Maison du Comté in Poligny (25 km) or follow the Route du Comté to visit the fruit farms (artisanal cheese production) in the region. An absolute delight for the taste buds!

Jura Wine Trail

A stroll around Arbois (19 km) and its surroundings is essential if you want to visit the wine cellars and taste some of the many wines produced in the region. Following the wine trail, you will be able to discover the various vineyards across the Jura and meet local producers who will serve up their special wines including the vin jaune and hay wine, the Chardonnay red wine, Savagnin and Ruby, and not to mention the Crémant du Jura sparkling wine.

Besançon Fortress

51 km

Gift yourself a day away from it all at Besançon to visit its superb fortress. Built over three centuries ago by Vauban, and a UNESCO world heritage site, it is today considered to be one of the most beautiful in all of France. Overlooking the town, it offers a host of spectacular vantage points and is also home to no fewer than three museums (the Comtois Museum, the Resistance Museum and the Guardian of Biodiversity). A visit brimming in cultural heritage.

Farm visit

Just twenty kilometres from the campsite, Les Deux Collines Educational Farm awaits to discover the animals including the traditional Montbéliard cow from the region, rabbits, donkeys and hens.

Jurafaune Park

Close to Baume-les-Messieurs, admire some of the most beautiful species of birds of prey in this exceptional setting. Education trails, exhibits and shows await.

Water activities

Children will not be disappointed thanks to the many water activities on offer including canoe rides (at the campsite exist), river fishing, swimming, paddle boarding on the Vouglans and Chalain Lakes, canyoning in the region’s caves, etc.
