Bourg Saint Maurice, capital of Haute-Tarentaise, is located at the crossroads of the largest ski areas. Its privileged geographical location is ideal for discovering the region and its various nature activities. From December to April, winter sports take centre stage: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, but also snowboarding, sledging, ice rink or snowshoeing. There’s something for everyone! Bourg Saint Maurice is also an essential starting point for mountain hiking.

The chalet has a main room with a well-equipped kitchen and a living area with a wood-burning stove and dining table.
The sleeping area is made up of a master bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with a pair of single bunk beds and a pull-out bed or a pair of bunk beds with a double bed at the bottom and a single bed at the top.
The chalet also has a bathroom with a shower and toilet.

LES ARCS – PARADISKI
Located in the Tarentaise valley, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry form, together with La Plagne, one of the largest interconnected ski areas in the world: Paradiski and its 425 km of slopes. Here, everyone finds their perfect match, from beginner to experienced skier, thanks to an incredible diversity of terrain: wide family slopes, fun areas (snowpark, toboggan, boardercross), freeride zones…
The Les Arcs resort spreads across several high-altitude villages, Arc 1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000, each with their own atmosphere: sporty, festive, family-friendly or more cosy. Connected to Bourg Saint Maurice by funicular, it is easily accessible and captivates with its modernity and friendliness.
In terms of panoramas, the experience is unique: from the summit of Aiguille Rouge (3,226 m), a legendary 7 km descent with 2,000 m of vertical drop awaits you, with spectacular views of Mont Blanc, the Vanoise and the Italian Alps. Another major asset, the Vanoise Express, the world’s largest cable car, connects Les Arcs to La Plagne in just a few minutes, allowing you to move from one skiing universe to another without constraint.
La Rosière

Nestled at 1,850 m altitude, La Rosière is the only resort in Savoie connected to Italy thanks to the Franco-Italian Espace San Bernardo area. With more than 150 km of slopes between Savoie and Valle d’Aosta, it offers sunny skiing on the French side and wild descents on the Italian side. A family resort par excellence, La Rosière appeals to both beginners and lovers of wide open spaces, with its open panoramas and friendly atmosphere.

The site also offers snowshoe routes, walking trails on groomed slopes and a unique setting to discover Nordic pleasures as a family.

THE PEISEY-NANCROIX NORDIC SKI AREA
At the gates of the Vanoise National Park, the Peisey-Nancroix Nordic site is one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing areas in Savoie. With nearly 44 km of trails groomed for both classic and skating styles, it offers varied routes suitable for all levels, from easy valley walks to more sporty routes. The setting is grandiose: snow-covered forests, pristine alpine meadows and glaciers in the background.
Easily accessible from Bourg Saint Maurice in about twenty minutes by car, this Nordic area also appeals for its authenticity and tranquillity. Besides cross-country skiing, the site offers snowshoe routes, walking trails on groomed slopes and a unique setting to discover Nordic pleasures as a family.

Bourg Saint Maurice, the main town in the Haute-Tarentaise valley, is located at the crossroads of some of the very best ski resorts and boasts an exceptional location in the heart of a wide, open valley. It is ideally situated for exploring the region and enjoying a whole array of outdoor activities. From December to April, winter sports abound, including downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, ice skating and snowshoeing.
There’s something for everyone! Bourg Saint Maurice is an ideal base camp for setting out into the mountains.
Bourg Saint Maurice is also a small town with a strong cultural heritage and many cultural events are organized, such as the famous European Film Festival in Les Arcs. You can also visit the Minerals and Fauna Museum and the Costume Museum to learn more about the Savoie region.

At Huttopia Bourg Saint Maurice, there is a grocery shop selling local products and our selection of wines. You can also order bread and pastries for the following day. Because we are committed to working with local producers, the village bakery delivers to us every morning.
Less than a kilometre from Huttopia Bourg Saint Maurice, take a stroll along the Grande Rue, a pedestrian street in the town centre, where you can find some lovely, traditional restaurants and charming local shops selling home decor, cheeses, local products, souvenirs, and of course winter sports gear. There are also petrol stations and supermarkets near the site.
